Mark 7:6-8

⁶He answered, “Well has Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written:

‘These people honor Me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from Me.
⁷In vain do they worship Me,
teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’^[a]

⁸For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”
